Decatur Police Report S. Candler Burglary Attempt

On Monday morning, a resident reported that somebody threw a brick and a large rock through the glass in the back door.

Sgt. Jennifer Ross of the Decatur police sent out this information Monday as a follow-up to a community alert about a recent rash of break-ins in which eight homes were burglarized in three weeks.

There was an additional burglary attempt today, June 24th at approximately 10:30 am in the 500 block of South Candler Street that appears to be related to the recent series of burglaries in the Winnona Park/South Candler Street/Oakhurst area.

A resident was woken when a brick and a large rock were thrown through the glass in the back door.  The resident yelled at the suspects who fled the home and got into a white sedan, possibly a Honda or Nissan, that was last seen south on South Candler Street toward Memorial Drive.
