Decatur YMCA Set To Reopen In June

The YMCA in Decatur will reopen in June with limited operations.

DECATUR, GA — The YMCA in Decatur will reopen next month. The Decatur Family YMCA has been closed since mid March due to the coronavirus pandemic. Although they’ll be back in service on June 1, members can expect limited operations and new precautions.

According to the website, masks will be required in all common areas where other members are present and when walking to and from workout areas. They don't have to stay on during the workout, but it's encouraged to limit the spread of germs. Also, a health pre-screening is required before entering the building. One will have to be completed for each visit.
Water fountains remain closed, so members should bring a water bottle.

During the first phase of reopening the Y, the play center will not be available. No one under the age of 18 will be permitted in the Y at this time.
