DeKalb Early Voting For Senate Race Begins, Runs Through Dec. 31

DeKalb County will offer 13 early voting locations throughout the county for the Jan. 5 Senate runoff election.

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — In-person early voting for the Jan. 5 Senate runoff election began Dec. 14 and will continue through Dec. 31 in DeKalb County and across Georgia. Polls will be closed Dec. 25-26; however, some locations will be open on weekends, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

DeKalb County residents can vote at any of these 13 locations during the early voting period, but residents must report to their assigned precinct if voting in-person on Jan. 5.

Eleven locations are open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Dec. 14-31:

  • Coan Recreation Center, 1530 Woodbine Ave., SE, Atlanta
  • Core4 Atlanta, 2050 Will Ross Court, Chamblee
  • Berean Christian Church, Kerwin B. Lee Family Life Center, 2197 Young Road, Stone Mountain
  • County Line-Ellenwood Library, 4331 River Road, Ellenwood
  • Dunwoody Library, 5339 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Dunwoody
  • The Gallery at South DeKalb, 2801 Candler Road, Decatur
  • Flat Shoals Library, 4022 Flat Shoals Parkway, Decatur
  • Former Sam's Club building, 2994 Turner Hill Road, Stonecrest
  • Reid H. Cofer Library, 5234 Lavista Road, Tucker
  • Voter Registration and Elections Office (two locations), 4380 Memorial Drive, Suite 300, Decatur

Weekend hours for those 11 locations are as follows:

  • Saturday, Dec. 19 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Sunday, Dec. 20 and Sunday, Dec. 27 from noon-6 p.m.

  • Christmas Eve, Dec. 24: 7 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • New Year's Eve, Dec. 31: 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

The Decatur Recreational Center is open for in-person early voting only from Dec. 14-20:

  • 231 Sycamore St., Decatur
  • Regular hours: Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Weekend hours: Dec. 19 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Dec. 20 from noon-6 p.m.

DeKalb County residents will get one additional early voting location from Dec. 21-31:

  • Agnes Scott College, Bullock Science Center, 100 E. Dougherty St., Decatur
  • Regular hours: Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Weekend hours: Dec. 27, noon-6 p.m.
  • Holiday hours: Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 7 a.m.-3 p.m.; New Year's Eve, Dec. 31, 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

Voters may request an absentee ballot for the runoffs, but the request must be received by Jan. 1. Absentee ballot applications can be submitted online, by mail, by fax or in-person to the DeKalb County Board of Registration and Elections Office.
