DeKalb Police Need Help Identifying Man Linked To 2020 Homicide
The DeKalb County Police Department released a sketch of a person-of-interest in an August 2020 homicide of 18-year-old Demarco Williams.

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — DeKalb County police and the victim's family are looking for the public's help in identifying a person-of-interest in an August 2020 homicide case.
Demarco Williams, 18, was fatally shot on Aug. 26 when at least two gunmen approached him outside his apartment complex and immediately began shooting, police said. Another man was also shot in the incident, but survived his injuries.
Police said Williams was unconscious when they arrived and later declared dead while en route to Grady Memorial Hospital. Investigators have exhausted all leads and haven't been able to identify any suspects in the double shooting, which took place at the Lakes at Indian Creek Apartments in Clarkston.

DeKalb police released the sketch of a person-of-interest Monday who has not yet been positively identified, according to DeKalb police spokesperson Michaela Vincent. Investigators believe this person approached Williams and his mother just hours before the shooting.
Anyone with information on the case or the person-of-interest drawn in the sketch is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477) to remain anonymous, or call the Homicide/Assault Unit at 770-724-7850.
