DeKalb?s Paper Shredding Recycling Event Returns After 2-Year Hiatus

DeKalb County resident can safely dispose of all documents including old tax records and legal documents at the June 11 event.

DEKALB COUNTY GA ? The DeKalb County Sanitation Division will host a free paper shredding event Saturday, June 11, after a two year hiatus.

The event will run from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the DeKalb County Sanitation Division?s Central Transfer Station, 3720 Leroy Scott Drive, Decatur. Participants will be able to dispose of all documents, including personal ones such as old tax records and legal documents.

Everything will be shredded onsite. Each participant will be limited to ten standard-size boxes of paper. Shredding services will be provided by A1 Shredding & Recycling.

The event is free and open only to DeKalb County residents. Proof of residency may be requested.
For everyone?s protection, masks are required for event staff and residents.
