DeKalb Schools Will Offer In-Person, Virtual Options In 2021-22
DeKalb County Schools regional superintendents will also host virtual town halls April 27-29 to get feedback on these options for next year.
DEKALB COUNTY, GA — DeKalb County School District will offer both in person and virtual school again next year.
The district said it will offer in-person learning five days per week for all students and expand its FLEX Academy to include middle- and high-school students for the 2021-22 academic year. FLEX Academy is the district's virtual learning platform, which is normally only available for students in ninth through 12th grade.
This fall, middle- and high-school students both will be allowed to enroll in core academic and elective classes through the program, which is connected to each student's home school. Superintendent Cheryl Watson-Harris told the school board Monday the district is excited to offer both learning options next year and that feedback from the community is welcome.
