DeKalb Sheriff's Office To Host Hiring Event Saturday

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — Those looking for law enforcement jobs can look to the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office this weekend.

The sheriff's office will host an in-person hiring event Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., located in the sheriff's office lobby at 4415 Memorial Drive in Decatur, according to a flyer for the event. Pre-applications can be filled out online to avoid the lines.

The department is looking to fill positions for detention officers, security technicians and deputy sheriffs, according to the flyer. Applicants must: be at least 18 years old; have a GED or high school diploma; be a U.S. citizen; and have no felony or domestic violence convictions.

Salaries start at $37,000 annually without a degree and $39,000 with a four-year degree, the flyer said. Positions include four weeks of paid training, tuition reimbursement, 15 paid vacation days and full health benefits.
