DeKalb Workforce Development Sets January Workshops

The DeKalb Workforce Development’s Work Readiness Workshops January schedule is set.

The workshops are held at the DWD's offices, 774 Jordan Lane, Building No. 4, in Decatur. They are offered free of charge.

The Work Readiness Workshops are designed to empower job seekers with essential work readiness skills needed to secure employment.

Workshop training topics include “Résumé Writing,” “Interviewing Techniques,” “Personal Branding and Marketing,” “Networking” and “Basic Computer.”

Since its inception, more than 2,000 customers have attended DWD’s Work Readiness Workshops.

Here are the January 2014 meeting times:

Résumé Writing

Mondays, 10 a.m. – noon

Thursdays, 10 a.m. – noon

Fridays, 10 a.m. – noon, 1 – 3 p.m.

Personal Branding

Tuesdays, 10 a.m. – noon

Marketing

Wednesdays, 10 a.m. - noon

Networking

Mondays, 10 a.m. – noon, 1 – 3 p.m.

Tuesdays, 1 – 3p.m.

Interviewing Techniques
