Druid Hills Charter Cluster Meeting Thursday

Interested Avondale Estates parents should attend the meeting at the United Methodist Children's Home at 500 S. Columbia Drive, Decatur.

Avondale Estates parents interested in sending their kids to the proposed Druid Hills High School Cluster are invited to a 7 p.m. July 11 meeting at the United Methodist Children's Home at 500 S. Columbia Drive, Decatur.

The cluster would funnel children into Druid Hills High School. In addition to the high school, the cluster would include Druid Hills Middle School and Avondale, Briar Vista, Fernbank, Laurel Ridge and McLendon elementary schools.

A message from organizers that was sent out by the City of Avondale Estates said:

We are reaching out to the neighborhood that is in the Avondale Elementary School attendance zone. Seven schools in the Druid Hills High School Cluster are submitting an application to become the first Charter Cluster in the state of GA!
