Dunkin' Sets Friday Grand Opening In Decatur

You could get a free, medium hot or iced coffee Friday at the new Decatur location. Here's how.

DECATUR, GA — Dunkin' is opening another location in Georgia, but this time in Decatur.

The fast-casual coffee and breakfast restaurant will celebrate the grand opening of its newest location Friday, located at 2550 Lawrenceville Highway, Dunkin' announced Wednesday. In celebration, guests can get a free, medium hot or iced coffee between 5 a.m. and noon Friday.

The free coffee offer is only valid at the Lawrenceville Highway location, and only on Friday. It's also limited to one use per guest.

Additionally, Dunkin' franchisee network Coffee Cafe 2, LLC will host a socially-distant ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. and a check presentation to donate $1,000 to the Decatur-area Emergency Assistance Ministry (DEAM). The donation is in collaboration with the Dunkin' Joy in Childhood Foundation.

The new 2,000-square-foot restaurant in Decatur seats 16 guests indoors, eight guests outdoors and is open from 5 a.m.-9 p.m. daily. The store also features Dunkin's new restaurant design, called Next Generation, which provides a modern atmosphere, a convenient drive thru and innovative technologies, including:

  • An exclusive On-the-Go drive-thru lane lets Dunkin' Perks members who order ahead via Dunkin’s mobile app bypass the ordering lane and head straight into the line for the pickup window.
  • Fully-integrated digital kiosks that allow guests to completely control how they order by choosing to order with or without the help of a crew member. Dunkin’ has also introduced an area dedicated to mobile pickups so that members of the rewards program, who order ahead via the mobile app, can get in and out of the restaurant faster. For all orders placed for pick up inside the restaurant, guests will be able to track the status of their order through a new digital order status board.
  • Dunkin’s signature cold beverages are now served through an innovative tap system serving eight consistently cold beverages such as coffees, iced teas, cold brew coffee and nitro infused cold brew coffee. Crew members will also use "top-quality flavor-maximizing espresso machines to make handcrafted drinks to order," according to a news release.
  • The new Dunkin’ is designed to save 25 percent more energy compared to a standard Dunkin’ restaurant.

The store will also offer the Baskin Robbins next generation "Moments" store design. This concept provides a more modern design, new ice cream dipping cabinets, flexible and modern seating, and upgraded digital menu board.

Including the Decatur location, Coffee Cafe 2, LLC owns and operates 11 Dunkin' locations throughout the state.
