Easter Bunny To Join DeKalb County Food Distribution This Weekend
The Easter bunny will make a special appearance during DeKalb's free monthly food distributions to fight COVID-19 food insecurity.
DEKALB COUNTY, GA — The latest DeKalb County food distribution event this weekend will feature a very special guest: the Easter bunny.
Volunteers will be giving out 3,600 COVID-19 care baskets during the county's monthly food distribution this Saturday to help fight COVID-19 food insecurity. Baskets will include the usual 20-pound box of fruit and vegetables and a 10-pound package of chicken.
Those that get boxes this Saturday will also get a dozen "Georgia grown Grade A eggs," according to a county press release — paying homage to the Easter bunny's visit.
