West College Avenue between Olympic Place and Mead Road will be closed starting about 9 p.m. Friday for storm sewer work.
The City of Decatur says that weather permitting, the work will finish the morning of Monday, July 21.
There will be a detour for eastbound traffic only. Other traffic will be rerouted. The work will add thee new sewer inlets and should reduce the possibility of flooding.
