Free Meals Available For Children This Summer In DeKalb County

Starting Wednesday, DeKalb County Schools will offer free frozen meals and fresh produce for all students on certain days in June and July.

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — Even though school is out for the summer, DeKalb County School District students can still get free food from the district.

Beginning Wednesday, DCSD will offer enough free, frozen meal boxes for seven days to all students age 18 and younger on certain days in June and July. You do not have to meet a specific income threshold or register in order to get meals.

Students attending face-to-face summer school will continue to receive free meals during their schools' scheduled meal times.

DCSD will offer the free meal boxes, which also have fresh fruit and vegetables, for curbside pickup from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. each Wednesday from June 9-July 21 at seven locations.
