Georgia Weather Forecast: How Hot Will It Get?

Some of the hottest days we've had in metro Atlanta this year are on the way. Meanwhile, summer thunderstorms will continue to roll through.

ATLANTA, GA — Thursday will officially be the first day of summer 2018, when the summer solstice arrives. In metro Atlanta, it's already felt like summertime, though, and this week will eliminate any doubts.

We're in for some of the hottest days we've had this year in the coming week, according to the National Weather Service. After hitting 91 degrees on Monday, the forecast high on Tuesday is going to be a blistering 94 degrees.

Factor in the heat index on Tuesday and it's going to get dangerously close to 100, with the NWS saying it will feel like 99 degrees. That looks like the hottest day of the week. But every single day this work week is expected to be in the 90s, with a forecast high of 93 on Wednesday, 92 on Thursday and 90 on Friday.
