Georgia Weather Forecast: Warmer, More Rain This Weekend
Find out when it's likely to rain in metro Atlanta this weekend, and what temperatures will be like on the first weekend of spring.

ATLANTA, GA — It's the first weekend of spring and, in metro Atlanta, the April showers will be getting a bit of a head start. After a cold snap, things will warm up the next few days, but we'll probably see some rain before it's all over.
There's just a slight chance of rain Friday night and Saturday morning. But that's going to jump up to a 50 percent chance by Saturday night, according to the National Weather Service.
And, on Sunday, we're looking at a 40 percent chance of rain during the day and a 60 percent chance Sunday night.

Luckily, there are no thunderstorms in the forecast, so we're probably just looking at showers through the weekend. Meanwhile, temperatures should be pleasant.

The weather service is calling for a high of 70 on Saturday and 62 on Sunday. The low will only be around 54 on Saturday night, but drop down to around 40 Sunday night.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 61. Northwest wind 5-10 m.p.h. Friday night, a 10 percent chance of rain after 4 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 46. Northwest wind around 5 m.p.h. becoming calm after midnight.
Saturday: A slight chance of rain before 7 a.m., then a slight chance of rain after 4 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 70. Southeast wind 5-15 m.p.h. becoming southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 m.p.h. Chance of precipitation is 10 percent. A 50 percent chance of showers Saturday night. Cloudy, with a low around 54. Southwest wind around 10 m.p.h., with gusts as high as 15 m.p.h.
Sunday: A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 62. North wind 5-10 m.p.h. becoming east in the afternoon. Rain likely Sunday night. Cloudy, with a low around 40. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
