Georgia Weather: Windy Then Warmer This Week

See which nights will get down around freezing in metro Atlanta this week and when temperatures are going to start feeling more like spring.

ATLANTA, GA — We're in for a windy start to the week in metro Atlanta, with a couple of chilly nights before things warm up heading into next weekend.

A wind advisory was in effect on Monday. The National Weather Service was saying that much of north and central Georgia is in for winds of 20-25 m.p.h. on Monday, with some gusts getting as strong as 40 m.p.h. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects and trees and tree limbs could be downed, leading to possible power outages, the weather service said.

The advisory was in effect through 7 p.m. on Monday.
