Help ID Arson Suspect In Decatur Family Dollar Fire

Family Dollar employees saw a woman set fire to product on store shelves, and DeKalb law enforcement needs the public's help finding her.

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — DeKalb County Fire Rescue and Police Department need the public's help finding an arson suspect in the fire at Family Dollar in Decatur.

The Family Dollar location on Covington Highway went up in flames Sunday, causing complete inventory loss and smoke damage to neighboring businesses, DeKalb Fire Rescue spokesperson Capt. Dion Bentley said.

Store employees saw a woman set fire to products on the store shelves, and she was also heard "yelling terroristic threats" while walking through the parking lot, Bentley said. DeKalb fire and police issued a BOLO — which stands for "Be On The Lookout" — for the unnamed woman Thursday.
