'Jobs Bus' Visiting Decatur This Week
The DeKalb County Mobile Career Center stops Wednesday at the DFCS office.

Avondale Estates and Decatur residents looking for work can visit the DeKalb County Mobile Career Center, also known as the "jobs bus," this month.
Here are some places the bus will stop in the area.
- Wednesday, July 10. The Department of Family and Children Services at 178 Sams St. in Decatur from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Thursday, July 11 and 24. Villages of East Lake at 460 East Lake Blvd. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Thursday, July 25. The Covington Library at 3500 Covington Highway from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Major features of the resource center include 13 computer stations; a private interview area; high-speed satellite Internet connection; printer, scanner and copy services; and a fully accessible ADA workstation with movable table and auxiliary.Â

Businesses will be able to use the mobile unit for recruiting, pre-employment screenings, interviewing, and training.
The mobile unit will also provide residents with essential services including job search assistance, adult workshops and training, resume writing and interviewing tips.
