Kindergartener Brings Humor, Expression to School Project

Students at the Museum School in Decatur gives sproject presentations centered around themes they learned throughout the school year.

Grammar school projects have come a long way since the days of shoebox dioramas.

Kids these these days are more tech savvy and incorporating those advantages to create some impressive bodies of work.

That's why we were impressed with one kindergartener's interesting take on the life of penguins in Antarctica.

Holden Kron, a kindergartener at the Museum School in Decatur did the video as part of school theme "Into the Wild: Animals and Their Environment," his mom, Aspen Kron, told Decatur-Avondale Estates Patch.

Kids at the school are given themes connected to what they're learning and every nine weeks, make a presentation to the rest of the Museum School community, his mother, who is board chairwoman, said.

Holden and the rest of the students made their presentations on Dec. 19.

"He is my storyteller," Aspen Kron said. "He’s very creative."

Little Holden wanted to focus on the Emperor Penguin, she said. He did the video, using iMovie, and called it "Are You My Father?" because he loves the book, "Are You My Mother? and he learned male penguins take care of the hatchlings.
