Lifeline Giving Free Vaccinations For Pets Of Federal Workers

To help those affected by the government shut down, LifeLine Animal Project will be offering free vaccines for their pets on Saturday.

AVONDALE ESTATES, GA -- To help those affected by the government shut down, LifeLine Animal Project will be holding a free vaccination event for pets of federal employees on Saturday, January 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at LifeLine’s Avondale Clinic, 129 Lake Street in Avondale Estates. All puppies, dogs, cats and kittens belonging to federal employees qualify for free vaccines and a free checkup by a licensed veterinarian. No appointment is necessary for this first-come, first-served event.

According to LifeLine’s Avondale shelter director Tracy Thompson, the nonprofit wants to do their part to help federal employees and their pets during this challenging time. “Veterinary care be expensive and certainly unobtainable for those not receiving their regular paychecks,” said Thompson. “We hope that by providing federal employee with free vaccinations for their pets, they'll be able to keep their pets healthy and have one less thing to worry about during this difficult time.”

Anyone interested in attending the event should RSVP to clinic@lifelineanimal.org and bring their federal ID with them on Saturday.
