Mobile Career Center Coming To DeKalb County

A mobile career center unit in DeKalb County will provide access to services like job search assistance, workshops and more, all January.

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — A traveling mobile career center will be available to DeKalb residents throughout January announced WorkSource DeKalb. From 8 a.m. to noon on Friday the unit will provide access to services like job search assistance, workshops, training and resume writing, and interviewing tips.

Businesses may also use the mobile unit, located at 1788 Hardee Ave. SW for interviewing, training, pre-employment screenings or recruiting.

For those interested in applying for the DeKalb year-round internship program, there will be assistance with the application. It provides short-term internship opportunities for low-income young adults, ages 16-24, who are seeking employment and not enrolled in school.

The mobile career center will be stationed at locations throughout DeKalb County this month to help put DeKalb County citizens back to work, says the center.
