Mother Found Dead In Car With Toddler Inside: Report

DEKALB COUNTY, GA — DeKalb County police are searching for the person who shot and killed a woman in her car Sunday night; a 1-year-old toddler, the woman's daughrer, was also in the vehicle but was unharmed, according to media reports. Police responded at about 11:30 p.m. to a report of shots fired along Terry Mill Road, WSB-TV Channel 2 reported.

When they arrived on the scene, they found the 33-year-old woman dead inside the car, a DeKalb police spokesman told Channel 2.

The killer fired shots at the woman in two different locations, the police said. The second locations was littered with about 1`2 shell casings, Channel 2 reported.

The police also found the toddler still in the car, Channel 2 reported. They turned the girl over to the Division of Family and Children Services.
