New Decatur Gelato Shop, Cremalosa Now Open
Nearly a dozen gelato flavors such as banana pudding and stracciatella are available at a new Decatur gelato shop, Cremalosa.
DECATUR, GA — Cremalosa, a new Decatur gelato shop, opened Friday, according to its Thursday Facebook post. It’s located at 2657 E. College Avenue, Suite B-3, across from the Avondale MARTA station.
Former Atlanta Journal-Constitution dining critic Meridith Ford will open the new business. She started her career as a pastry chef, according to her website, then became a food writer, before going back to the kitchen full time.
Nearly a dozen gelato flavors will be available such as banana pudding and stracciatella. The menu will also include gelato cakes, pops, boozy shakes and “adult” affogato, along with select Italian wines and beer, too.

Hours of operation are Wednesday, 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Thursday, 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
