Now Open: Steel City Pops in Decatur

DECATUR, GA -- In its Georgia debut, Steel City Pops opened Saturday, Sept. 30 in Decatur. The store held a soft opening at its 312 Church Street location the day before.

"We are a family-owned, all-natural, gourmet popsicle company that opened in Birmingham, Alabama, in 2012 and have since grown to 19 locations across Alabama, Texas, and Kentucky," general manager Jack Roberson said in a statement to Patch.

Decatur-Avondale Estates Patch

Steel City Pops has 19 shops in three states, Roberson said. The Steel City name is a nod to Birmingham, which is known for its steel industry past.
