Contrary to early reports, the shooting did not stem from an argument she had with the victim at an apartment complex on East Ponce de Leon Avenue. Law became upset because her daughter was moving out to be with Eh in Wisconsin, according to news reports.

"It appears they were in the kitchen preparing breakfast. There was no type argument or even altercation. It's looking like mom just walked up behind the victim and shot him,” Clarkston Police Det. Jason Elliot told WSB-TV.

An arrest warrant was issued for Law on Sunday, she said.
