Part Of Ponce To Close For Water Main Work

The evening and overnight closures in DeKalb County are expected to continue all the way through September for the major project.

CLARKSTON, GA — A stretch of East Ponce de Leon Avenue in DeKalb County will be closed down next week as crews work to relocate a water main pipe.

On Tuesday, May 29, construction on the Clarkston Streetscape Water Main Relocation Project will begin at the intersection of East Ponce and North Indian Creek Drive in Clarkston. The project includes the installation of nearly 8,000 feet of new water pipe in the area.

Crews will be working overnight from 6 p.m.-6:30 a.m. During those times, all westbound lanes of East Ponce — from Jolley Avenue to North Indian Creek Drive — will be closed to traffic.
