Recycle Your Christmas Tree In Decatur Now Through Saturday

Bring one for the chipper during the annual tree recycling program at Decatur's Legacy Park.

DECATUR, GA -- Now through Saturday, Jan. 12, Decatur residents may drop off live Christmas trees during the annual tree recycling event at Decatur Legacy Park (former Children’s Home) at 500 S. Columbia Drive. Look for signs indicating the drop-off area to the right of the chapel.

Please do not leave Christmas trees anywhere else on the Decatur Legacy Park property.

All ornaments, stands, and lights should be removed from trees before drop off.

Bring One for the Chipper is a statewide effort to reuse Christmas trees. Since its inception, the program has recycled an estimated 6 million Christmas trees. The mulch from these trees has been used for playgrounds, local government beautification projects and individual yards.

Keep Georgia Beautiful works with several sponsors to organize the event at various locations around the state. You can view other Bring One for the Chipper sites by clicking here.
