Rose Bowl 2018: Georgia Vs. Oklahoma Time, TV Schedule, Odds

The Georgia Bulldogs will try to leap the final hurdle between themselves and a shot at their first National Championship since 1980 on New Year's Day.

The No. 2 Bulldogs face No. 3 Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl in a college football National Championship Playoff game. The winner between Georgia (12-1) and the 12-1 Sooners will face either No. 1 Clemson or No. 4 Alabama in the National Championship Game — at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Monday, Jan. 8.

Led by Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield at quarterback, the Sooners will bring a high-octane offense up against Georgia's vaunted defense, led by Butkus Award winner Roquan Smith. UGA will counter with an offense led by dual-threat running backs Nick Chubb and Sony Michel and helmed by freshman Jake Fromm.

History: This will be the first time Georgia and Oklahoma, two storied football programs, have ever played each other. Georgia last played in the Rose Bowl in 1943, when the Bulldogs defeated UCLA. Oklahoma played in Pasadena in 2003, defeating Washington State.
