LifeLine Animal Project wants to see your family pet smile! As part of our 20K Smiles campaign to place 20,000 shelter pets in homes by 2018, LifeLine is holding a Best Smiles Contest! Send a photo of your family pet smiling to smile@lifelineanimal.org, or post to LifeLine’s social media using the hashtag #20Ksmiles! The deadline to get your smile photos in is Friday, September 23rd, and the winner will receive a special gift basket for their pet. Your pet may also be featured on our smiles website, 20Ksmiles.com, so send those adorable pictures in!

Here is one dog who is sure to make you smile, our Pet of the Week, Lake! This happy one-year-old girl has an upbeat attitude that is contagious. Lake is also very smart, super eager to please and highly treat motivated, so she learns tricks in no time flat! Lake gets along great with other dogs too, and is friendly and completely lovable. And if you adopt her during our September MVP (most valuable pet) promotion, your adoption fee will be waived, including her spay, microchip and vaccinations!
