"Shoppercise" Your Way to Health During the Holidays

From Children's Healthcare of Atlanta:

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's Strong4Life suggests kids and families get a total of 60 minutes of physical activity every day.  Being active, however, should never feel like a chore. As a matter of fact, you are probably moving more than you even realize just by doing your holiday shopping this season.  That's right, while braving the crowds for those one-of-a-kind deals; you’re also getting in some serious mileage without even trying! Check out the mileage at five malls around the Metro Atlanta area:

  1. Lenox Square Mall: 1.34 miles
  2. Mall of Georgia: 3 miles
  3. Northlake Mall: 1 mile
  4. Phipps Plaza: 1 mile
  5. Town Center at Cobb: 1.5 miles

(Walking distances are estimated based on total mall footprint available to shoppers.)
