Susan G. Komen Race Kicks Off at Stone Mountain Park

Participants will attempt to run or walk 60 miles between Friday and Sunday, ending up at Turner Field.

The annual Susan G. Komen Race For A Cure kicked off Friday morning at Stone Mountain Park in DeKalb County.

Participants, who are raising money for breast cancer research and awareness, will attempt to run or walk a whopping 60 miles over three days, ending up at Turner Field on Sunday.

Statistics show that one in eight women in the U.S. are diagnosed with breast cancer every year--yet those studies also show there are approximately 3 million survivors currently living in the country.
