Teen Arrested In Slaying, Armed Robbery In Decatur
Iran King was arrested Monday in the slaying of Darin Thurman on June 9 in Decatur.

DECATUR, GA -- A 19-year-old from Decatur has been arrested in the fatal shooting of a man, the DeKalb Sheriff’s Office said Monday. A warrant for Iran King was issued Saturday, authorities said.
King is accused of gunning down Darin Thurman on June 9 while the victim sat behind the wheel of a vehicle on Glenwood Road. According to witnesses interviewed by law enforcement, King knocked on Thurman's window and pointed a gun at him, said something and opened fire. Another witness told authorities that King robbed the victim's vehicle, taking " a handgun, wallet, cell phone and cash," according to a news release from DeKalb Sheriff's spokeswoman Cynthia Baugh Williams.

King is charged with felony murder and felony armed robbery weapon, Williams said.
DeKalb's Fugitive and Field Units apprehended King without incident at his residence on Emerald North Drive.
