Walmart Employee Shot In DeKalb: Report

An employee at Walmart was shot Thursday at the store on North Decatur Road, police say.

DECATUR, GA -- Police in Decatur are investigating after a Walmart worker was shot outside the store late Wednesday, according to news reports. The shooting occurred about 8:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the store in the 2500 block of North Decatur Road.

The disagreement escalated when the man pulled out a gun and shot the worker in his hand, WGCL reports. The victim was taken to the hospital, which is nearby, police said.

The shooter fled the scene on foot but was subsequently arrested, the TV station reports.
