Loy Waters, a safety on Georgia Southern's football team, was playing in an intramural basketball game.

STATESBORO, GA -- It’s not often that an intramural basketball game makes it onto SportsCenter.

But that’s just what happened after a matchup this week, in which Georgia Southern’s Loy Waters heaved an unlikely, no-look, full-court shot into the basket for the win.

Video of the shot shows Waters, who is actually a defensive back on the Georgia Southern football team, scoop up the ball at his own baseline and fling it backward over his head in a desperation shot that hits nothing but net.
