What's Open, Closed on Presidents' Day?

Decatur City Hall, DeKalb City County Schools, DeKalb County government and banks will not operate on this holiday. The garbage pickup schedule will change in Decatur and unincorporated DeKalb.

Today is Presidents Day, but everybody doesn't treat it like a holiday. Here's what you need to know about today.

In Decatur, garbage pickup will be affected. Regular Monday pickup will be on Tuesday, Feb. 19. Regular Tuesday pickup will be Wednesday, Feb. 20.

In DeKalb County, there will be no garbage pickp on Monday, Feb. 18.
All collection services will run one day late. The regular garbage collection schedule will resume on Thursday, Feb. 21. Blue box and yard waste recycling will continue to run one day late Friday, Feb. 22.

  • Banks. Reopen Tuesday, Feb. 19..
