What's Open, Closed On Thanksgiving In DeKalb County
What DeKalb County services and offices are closed on Thanksgiving, Nov. 28? And what are mall hours for the holiday?
DEKALB COUNTY, GA — Many places like City Hall, banks and schools will be closed in DeKalb County for Thanksgiving. Here's what's open and closed this Thanksgiving week. Post in the comments if other businesses should be added to this list.
- City Hall is closed Thursday and Friday.
- There will be no trash pickup Thursday or Friday. Regular service for both days will be picked up Wednesday, Nov. 27.
- DeKalb County Schools are on Thanksgiving break Nov. 25-29.
- The Doraville branch Library will be closed on Thursday, November 28 through Saturday, November 30 in observance of Thanksgiving. All other branches will close at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27 and will remain closed on Thursday, November 28 in observance of Thanksgiving.
- Post offices will be closed. This is a federal holiday and all locations will be closed. No mail will be delivered or sent. Regular business hours will resume Friday, Nov. 29.
- All banks are closed on Thanksgiving and will resume normal business hours Friday, Nov. 29.
- North DeKalb Mall is closed on Thanksgiving, except for the AMC movie theater, which will be open from 10:45 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. The mall will have normal business hours on Black Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody is open on Thanksgiving from 6 p.m. to midnight. It's open on Friday at 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- The Gallery at South DeKalb will be closed on Thanksgiving. Black Friday shopping hours are from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- The Mall at Stonecrest will be open for Black Friday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Northlake Mall will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. On Black Friday, it's open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
