Wienermobile Celebrating Super Bowl With Decatur Visit
During Super Bowl weekend, the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile will be in Decatur and Stone Mountain on Friday, Feb. 1.
DECATUR, GA -- The Oscar-Meyer Wienermobile is coming to Decatur and Stone Mountain. The world-famous vehicle will be at the Decatur Walmart, 3580 Memorial Drive, on Friday from 9 am to 1 pm, and will make another stop at the Walmart in Stone Mountain, 5935 Memorial Drive, from 2-5 pm.
Other metro Atlanta stops during Super Bowl weekend are the Walmart in Marietta, at 1785 Cobb Parkway S, on Saturday from 11am to 4 pm, and on Super Bowl Sunday itself at the Walmart at 835 MLK Jr. Drive in Atlanta, from 9 am to 1 pm.
The first Wienermobile was created in 1936 by Carl Mayer. The 1952 Wienermobile has been living for years in the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI. The 1969 Wienermobile model featured Ford Thunderbird taillights, a Chevy motor home frame and averaged 187 miles per gallon.
