Wine Tasting, Poetry in Avondale Estates on Tuesday Night

Got any plans tonight? Check out these two great events happening in our city.

Avondale Estates residents and guests have two events on Tuesday night to choose from, and enjoy.

Deborah Monroy will be doing a poetry reading at Savage Pizza beginning at 8 pm. There will be an open poetry reading at 7 pm.

Monroy, an Avondale Estates resident, is the winner of the first Gerard Manley Hopkins Poetry Award from Georgia State. She is also a photographer whose work is collected by private and corporate collectors in San Francisco, Atlanta and New York. Her work has been shown in Atlanta at the Backdrop Gallery and the Swan Coach House Gallery, and it appears monthly on the Avondale poetry reading's posters displayed at various locations around Avondale and Decatur.
