Work Crews Trying To Fix 36-Inch Water Main Break In Decatur
DeKalb officials have identified a 36-inch water main break as the culprit behind a massive leak on a Decatur street.

DECATUR, GA — Some DeKalb County residents woke up Friday to low water pressure after officials identified a large water leak. At least one Decatur street flooded due to the leak, which occurred on Guy Way, officials said.

Once a bypass has been set up, water pressure to the system h should resume as normal. DWM expects to complete the repair over the next several hours. DeKalb officials were able to pinpoint a 36-inch main break as the culprit of the leak.

Households and businesses are advised to limit their use of water. There is no boil water advisory in affect at this time, officials said.
Decatur Schools are open as usual, while DeKalb County School District students are on fall break.
