Antron Pippen, Former Collins Hill Basketball Star, Dead At 33
Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen announced the death of his oldest son Antron, a former top college prospect from Gwinnett, on Sunday.
GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — Antron Pippen, the son of basketball legend Scottie Pippen and at one time a star himself at Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, died Sunday. He was 33.
The elder Pippen announced his son’s death on Twitter Monday afternoon. No cause of death was given.
“Antron suffered from chronic asthma and if he hadn’t had it, I truly believe he would’ve made it to the NBA,” Scottie Pippen tweeted. “He never let that get him down, though — Antron stayed positive and worked hard, and I am so proud of the man that he became.”
