"Georgia Bodyguard" YG Nyghtstorm Announces Congressional Run
Security executive Yahanesh George announced he is running as an "America First" candidate to represent Georgia's 7th District.
CUMMING, GA ? Security executive Yahanesh George, more popularly known by his nickname ?YG Nyghtstorm,? announced Wednesday that he will run as a Republican to represent Georgia?s 7th Congressional District.
Nyghtstorm, the CEO of Nyghtstorm Security International, is also a motivational speaker with a popular YouTube channel and a conservative political consultant serving as Vice Chair of the GOP in Forsyth County. Calling himself the ?Bodyguard of Georgia,? Nyghtstorm calls himself a ?Pro-God, Pro-Life, Pro-Gun, and Pro-Law Enforcement? ?true conservative patriot.?
Nyghtstorm, who has come out strongly against mask or vaccine mandates, lists ?health? as one of his top platforms, saying on his website that ?the mainstream media and unethical politicians have politicized Covid 19 to the point where Americans do not know what to trust as they turn against each other.?

?The American people have had enough of politicians promising everything and delivering NOTHING. Georgia?s Bodyguard is not afraid to ruffle feathers or bruise egos to get the job done for the people he represents,? his campaign announcement reads.

Nyghtstorm has overcome several obstacles, including homelessness, child sexual assault, the abortion of his twins, and the death of his eldest son. He says that he is ?living proof that in America, through hard work, and embracing God and fellow citizens, everyone has the opportunity to achieve success, regardless of skin color.?
Georgia?s 7th District includes portions of the northeast Atlanta metro area, including most of Gwinnett County and part of Forsyth. Traditionally a Republican stronghold, it was won by Democrat Carolyn Bourdeaux in 2020 by 10,000 votes. In 2018, Bordeaux lost by only 433 votes, after a recount, marking the closest US House race in 2018.
Michael Corbin has also signed on as a Republican candidate, according to Ballotpedia. The Republican primary will take place May 22 before a general election on Nov. 8.
