Fire Consumes Restaurants Early Thursday At Gwinnett Strip Mall
Nearly 30 Gwinnett firefighters responded to a blaze Thursday that destroyed three restaurants at a strip mall near Jimmy Carter Boulevard.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — Three restaurants in a strip mall on South Norcross Tucker Road near Jimmy Carter Boulevard were destroyed by fire early Thursday morning.
No one was found in adjacent businesses, and no injuries were reported, according to a statement from Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services.
Firefighters responded to a call at 4:22 a.m. to find the Norcross plaza, located at 6034 South Norcross Tucker Road NW, “with flames and black smoke rolling out of a store.”

Nearly 30 firefighters worked to put out the blaze, according to Gwinnett County Fire spokesperson Lt. Donald Strother, as reported by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Strother told the Atlanta newspaper that the business where the fire started was completely gutted, with the structural integrity of the entire building “significantly compromised.”
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
