Flash Flood Warning Wednesday Afternoon
Motorists, in particular, are warned to "turn around, don't drown."
A flash flood warning is in effect for the area until 6:15 p.m. Wednesday night, according to the National Weather Service.
Up to 3 inches of rain had already fallen in the some parts of the area since Wednesday morning, the weather service reported just before 1 p.m.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches is possible.
