Free Rabies Shots At 'Yappy Hour' At Gwinnett Animal Welfare
Free rabies shots will be available at "Yappy Hour" at Gwinnett Animal Welfare and Enforcement on Saturday.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA – Gwinnett Animal Welfare and Enforcement is offering 200 free rabies vaccines and other inoculations at the final 2018 Yappy Hour on Saturday, Dec. 15 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Rock Springs Park, located at 550 Rock Springs Road in Lawrenceville.
Additional vaccines are available at Yappy Hour for $10, and microchipping is available for $25. Pups can also play off-leash in the dog park.
Gwinnett Animal Welfare recommends that pet owners vaccinate their dogs, cats, ferrets, horses and any other animal in regular contact with humans. In Gwinnett County, 12 rabies cases were confirmed in 2017 and two so far in 2018, but rabies kills 59,000 people worldwide each year.
