Georgia Weather Forecast: How Cold Will It Get This Week?

As metro Atlanta began thawing from the weekend's snowstorm, all eyes were on the forecast for the coming days.

ATLANTA, GA — As metro Atlanta continued thawing out from the weekend's snowstorm Monday morning, the weather forecast for the coming days offered a bit of hope.

We should have clear skies for most of this work week, according to the National Weather Service. And while we've got more freezing low temperatures in store, things should be warming up during the days enough to get the rest of the ice and snow that covered north Georgia out of here.

It should be at least partly sunny every day through Friday, with high temperatures bouncing between the mid-40s and the mid-50s. Lows each night will be down in the 30s, except for Tuesday night, when we're forecast to see a freezing low of 26 degrees.

And we'll have some windy days this week, too, particularly Tuesday, when the forecast calls for wind gusts up to 30 m.p.h.
