Georgia Weather Forecast: A Stormy Week Ahead

In metro Atlanta, rain and thunderstorms will be the norm over the next few days, weather forecasters say.

ATLANTA, GA — If you're already growing tired of rain and thunderstorms in metro Atlanta, we've got some bad news for you. The weather forecast for the next few days calls for more of the same.

It's shaping up to be a soggy work week, with showers and thunderstorms in the forecast for north Georgia on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Temperatures should continue to cool off as a result, with highs dipping down into the low 70s by mid-week.

We should get some relief toward the end of the work week, though. Both Thursday and Friday are currently forecast to have clear skies.

Monday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Monday night, a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a low around 64.

Tuesday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 2 p.m., then showers and thunderstorms likely after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. Showers and thunderstorms likely Tuesday night, mainly before 8 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63.

Wednesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 74. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday night. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56.

Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 73. Mostly clear Thursday night, with a low around 56.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 81. Mostly clear Friday night, with a low around 64.
