Metro Atlanta will have some sunny days this week, but some rain and storms are likely before it's over.

ATLANTA, GA — There are sunny days and some of the warmest weather we've seen this year on tap for metro Atlanta this work week. But, before it's over, we could be seeing more thunderstorms.

Monday through Thursday, you can expect sunny skies, as high temperatures climb their way back into the mid-80s.

Thursday night will bring the week's first chance of rain, though. And on Friday, there's a 60 percent chance of precipitation, with the possibility of a thunderstorm.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 77. Northwest wind 5 to 10 m.p.h., with gusts as high as 15 m.p.h. Mostly clear Monday night, with a low around 58.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 83. West wind 5 to 15 m.p.h., with gusts as high as 20 m.p.h. Mostly clear Tuesday night, with a low around 63.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. Thursday night, a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 65.

Friday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 77. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. Friday night, a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59.
