The annual, Friday-night scrimmage has taken place in Gwinnett County for eight of its nine years.

GRAYSON, GA -- The Atlanta Falcons have announced their 2016 training camp dates and one of those dates is bringing them to Grayson High School.
The Falcons' Friday Night Lights pre-season scrimmage, held for the past nine years at a high-school stadium, will take place on August 5 at Grayson, the team announced.
The scrimmage is scheduled for 7-9 p.m.

It's not much of a surprise that the Falcons will be scrimmaging somewhere in Gwinnett, one of high-school football's hotbeds of talent in the state.
Only once, when Gainesville hosted in 2013, has the Friday Night Lights game taken place outside of the county.

Other schools that have hosted are Archer, Buford, Brookwood, Mill Creek, North Gwinnett, Norcross and Peachtree Ridge.
The scrimmage will be free to the public and, if past years are a guide, feature a festival atmosphere.
The Falcons will report for training camp on July 27 and their first public practice, in Flowery Branch, will be July 28, from 10 a.m. to noon.
