Gwinnett Residents Raise $2,000 For 'Tank's' Recovery
"Tank" was saved by an officer after being in a hit and run accident with a truck and needed surgery.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — The Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office reports that the community has donated $2,000 to "Tank," the dog that was hit by a truck in the roadway near the intersection of Old Freeman Mill and Winder Highway in Dacula.
"Tank had a second surgery yesterday and we're hoping that he recovers nicely so that we can bring him to our Jail Dogs Unit in about a week," reads a post on the Sheriff's Facebook page.
"THANK YOU to everyone who contributed toTank's medical care," continues the post. "Your donations total $2,000 so far and every dime will go to support this sweet dog.We don't have any new pics of Tank since he's still at UGA, but we'll be sure to post pictures of him when he gets to the Jail Dogs Unit."

The bad news is that the surgery will cost between $8,000 - $10,000, so police are going to need help from every animal lover who sees this post and wants to support Tank in his long road to recovery.
