This year’s maze is a tribute to American Sniper Chris Kyle, with Kyle’s likeness and the words, “God Bless America” cut into a labyrinth.

“We decided to honor Chris Kyle and all military men and women in the military because with everything that is going on in the world today we wanted to do something patriotic,” owner Misty Duren told Patch.

Kyle was a Navy SEAL sniper who served four tours in the Iraq War. His best-selling book American Sniper was later turned into a movie of the same name starring Bradley Cooper. Kyle was shot and killed by a former service member in 2013.

Corn Dawgs, in its seventh year, features a prominent figure in its corn-maze attraction every fall. Last year, it was the musical group Florida Georgia Line. The year before it was the TV series “Duck Dynasty.”

Duren said the pattern takes about 4 to 6 hours to cut. “The company we use has a special software that they use,” she said. “It is downloaded on a special GPS that is mounted to a tractor and tells them where to cut.”

It takes about an hour for visitors to find their way through the maze.

Duren added Kyle’s wife, Taya Kyle, is coming to Corn Dawgs on Oct. 28 (5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.) to visit the attraction and sign copies of her book “American Wife: A Memoir of Love, Service, Faith, and Renewal.” Proceeds will go to the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation.

Corn Dawgs, which has more than 30 activities and attractions, including pumpkin patch, rides and games, is located on Highway 81 South, just outside of Loganville. (For GPS, use 955 Leone Avenue, Loganville, GA 30052).

General admission is $12 for ages 3 and up (2 and under free), $10 for seniors over 55 and military/public service members.

Corn Dawgs is open 5 p.,m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sundays 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
